Point of Service Plan
A Point of Service plan is a type of HMO plan that allows you the ability to use doctors
and hospitals outside of the network for some covered services, usually for a higher copayment or
coinsurance. Some POS plans do not require a referral to see a specialist.
This type of Medicare Advantage Plan is not available
in every county in Arizona. Call me to find out what
plans are available where you live.
Why would I want a Point of Service Plan?
Doctors in the network.
Not dependent on a referral. You have the option to see any doctor you wish, but at a higher cost.
You pay only when you use services covered by the plan.
