Preferred Provider Organization Plan
A Preferred Provider Organization plan (PPO) is made up of a much larger network of doctors than an HMO, so you are likely to have
more freedom to choose your doctor. No referrals
are required to see a specialist. You are allowed to go outside the network to any provider without having to pay
the entire cost yourself, but if you do visit a doctor or hospital ouside the network you will usually
pay a larger share of the cost of your care. A PPO plan
is usually somewhat more costly than either an HMO or POS plan.
This type of Medicare Advantage Plan is not available
in every county in Arizona. Call me to find out what
plans are available where you live.
Why would I want a PPO Plan?
